Brock Lesnar was originally slated to face dos Santos after their coaching task on The Ultimate Fight 13, but the bout was forced to pull out due to a reoccuring illness and was later replaced by Carwin. Court McGee was expected to face Jesse Bongfeldt, but was withdrew due to a torn MCL.
